Ku Swee Yong, CEO, International Property Advisor
Ku Swee Yong is the Chief Executive Officer of International Property Advisor Pte Ltd. in Singapore. He was a Director in the Real Estate Centre of Expertise at Société Générale Private Banking, responsible for advising clients on real estate investments, the Director of Marketing and Business Development at Savills Singapore and the General Manager at Far East Organization’s Indonesia office.
Swee Yong’s opinion is regularly featured in the Straits Times, Business Times, 新明日报, 联合早报, Channel NewsAsia, TODAY, etc. He has published five books on the property market. He lectures on a part-time basis in the Singapore Management University and the Ngee Ann Polytechnic's School of Design & Environment.
Vina Ip, Blogger, PropertySoul.com
Vina Ip is a property enthusiast who bought her first condominium unit for rent since 2002. In the next 4½ years, she built up a portfolio of five private properties.
Vina is the blogger of PropertySoul.com - a blog to share experiences and tips on property investment. In April 2014, she published her book No B.S. Guide to Property Investment which was a bestseller at Kinokuniya and Times. Vina also founded Property Club Singapore to provide a neutral platform for the learning and networking of like-minded private property buyers, investors and owners.
Michael Cho, Founder, UrbanZoom
Michael Cho is the founder of UrbanZoom, an AI-enabled property research site for home owners & seekers, as featured on publications such as Straits Times, Business Times, Mothership, etc.
Michael used to be a real estate investment professional at CapitaLand before becoming Head of Investments for a family office based in Abu Dhabi.
After a near-death encounter in a plane crash accident, Michael left the investment field to kickstart his entrepreneurship journey in US as cofounder of multiple social media apps such as PIF, YAM, etc, before embarking on his current journey with UrbanZoom.
Tan Wee Kwang, Founder, Absolute Inspection
Tan Wee Kwang was formerly a deputy director with Building and Construction Authority (BCA). He was trained in BCA CONQUAS which is Singapore’s yardstick for construction quality, and had also played a role in promoting the adoption of CONQUAS in other countries. He also founded Absolute Inspection Pte. Ltd., which is currently Singapore's biggest defects inspection company with more than 10,000 home inspections in Singapore and Malaysia to date.
Wee Kwang has profound experience in home inspection and is currently the most sought-after defects inspector in Singapore. For his expertise in defects inspection, Wee Kwang was previously featured in Channel 8 “Frontline” , Straits Times, The New Paper, AsiaOne and Shin Min Daily News. He had also spoken at various platforms, including SMART EXPO, Renovation & Furniture fairs at Singapore Expo, as well as various private property clubs.
Tan Kok Keong, Co-Founder & COO, FundPlaces
Tan Kok Keong has more than 20 years of experience in the real estate industry in valuation, research and consultancy, equity research, fund management, real estate development and venture creation in the fintech world. He has worked in the Urban Redevelopment Authority, Merrill Lynch, Pacific Star Holdings and OrangeTee. While in URA, he led the development of URA's REALIS System, the formulation of various Government housing policies and implementation of numerous e-services for URA. In 2012, he set up Asian Acre Advisors, an asset management advisory firm in Myanmar. In 2014, he returned to Singapore to set up boutique real estate consultancy REMS Advisors. He also co-founded Fundplaces, an alternative real estate investment platform.
